I have good luck with soap and water followed by a bit of antibacterial gel. It does a pretty good job on the fish slime, after handling the fish to throw it back, too!

Rub your DRY hands with DRY Boraxo powdered hand soap. The powder seems to collect the slime and forms small balls, which fall off. Repeat until it seems to be gone, and then add water and wash your hands. Repeat if needed.

I mix equal parts of salt and flour. My sons play with slugs and my 5 year old can get it off himself by rubbing his hands with the flour/salt and then picking off the slime much like you would school glue stuck to your fingers. It just rolls right off. The slime absorbs water so cleaning with water is counterproductive. After its off, wash the flour and salt off as usual. You may need to repeat it a few times if your hands are seriously covered.

An extra tip, if you get it on your clothes put baking soda on it for 5-10 minutes, then scrub vigorously under water with a washcloth. My 2 year old had slug slime on his security blanket and that did the trick.

If it gets on your floor (if it isn't enough that they play with them, they have to bring them inside) rub with a dry paper towel and if that doesn't work, cover with baking soda for 5-10 minutes and then scrub with a dry paper towel. Then sweep and wash the floor as usual.

Whenever I accidentally touch a slug and need to get the slime off, I wet my hands and then pour a generous amount of salt into my palm. I rub my hands for a few minutes, while focusing on the slimy parts, rinse and it's gone!
