Utensils on the Counter

To maximize kitchen drawer space, put flat wear in matching or eclectic decorative mugs on the countertops, leaving an extra drawer free, and keeping your flatware handy for constant use. A cut down Gatorade bottle (with the label removed) makes a nice holder as well.

That's a great idea! But I have small ceramic pitchers, that I don't need, so I use those instead. Also, if you have large pieces like, spoons, spatulas, and turners, etc. I use the plastic tea pitchers for those. I bought a couple at Wal-Mart to use. I paid $2.50 for them.

This is a good idea if you have ample counter space. I have more drawers than I do counter space and I don't like my countertops cluttered.
