wikianswers says:

Great Value is not manufactured in one place by one company. It is manufactured by a variety of different companies. Great Value is a "house" or store brand owned by Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart takes bids from different companies to make great value products. The companies with the lowest bids get the contract to make the products. So one company might get the contract to make great value dryer sheets and another might get the contract to make great value light bulbs while another gets the contract for great value milk.

ConAgra which produces such brand names as Swiss Miss, Van Camps, Hunts, etc. also makes some of Wal-Mart's Great Value products. So in reality store brands are made by the same companies that make name brands.

Hey everyone who likes Master Chef coffee, I called 1-888-246-2598 Massimo Zanetti who distributed the Master Chef coffee to Walmart. Walmart currently isn't carrying Master Chef coffee (maybe that will change) but for now you can order the coffee online at www.mzb-USA.com
Click on shop online and you will see Master Chef coffee. I am happy that it is still available for purchase and wanted to share the information.

I am having trouble with the Great Value 100% Arabica Donut Shop K cups as they are not letting the water flow through and causing a huge mess. I have tried 2 different machines both brand new. How can I contact them to resolve the problem. I have a whole box I can't use!

The back of the box should have info on how to reach them, also a lot of times in small print there is a money back guarantee. If you have your receipt just return them!

You can bring it back to Walmart and return to get your money back.

This is a Walmart product.
You do not need a receipt to return it for your money back.
But this will not solve the problem you are experiencing.

I would write down the information on the box - all numbers so you can give them the factory and the run number.
This should allow them to double check the products and make sure there is not still a problem or they can tell if this is actually an old batch that should not have been sold.
Write all of this in an email to Walmart customer service and hopefully you will help them find the problem.
Sometimes they send a gift for your trouble.

How weird! Here is Wal-Mart's customer services number:1 (800) 925-6278. I would call and ask the best way to handle.

Meanwhile, if they let you keep it, you can use the grounds in a french press or coffee maker...just measure out the way you normally do. Each cup is a servicing and the box should tell you how many ounces of water.

We don't have a Keurig machine but someone gave us some cups a while back. It worked fine the "old fashioned" way.

Post back with what Walmart does to resolve.

The cups your received may have been okay but many times the coffee in these cups will "freeze up" and it is actually a 'chunk' of coffee and that is what makes the mess that she is talking about.
You may be able to remove it and crush it into usable coffee again but it may still be 'old'.
Also, K-cup coffee is usually a finer grind than the normal coffee unless you grind your own.

Walmart has never given me any problems with returns so I'm sure they will give her money back with no hassle.
I guess that I have worked in customer services for so long that I know the 'written" word is much more powerful in getting results than any phone call or chat session will ever accomplish - especially if you add a cc at the bottom and copy to several offices.
This type of correspondence will usually get attention.

From what I understand Walmart stands behind all the items in the store they sell. I was in the US and bought my granddaughter a sweatshirt that was so cute. She wore it once and the zipper broke.

I went back to the store to get her a new one and they gave it to me for free. I would take these back to the store and they will refund your money.

Sometimes the K-cups fill faster than they can drain. I've had some success by placing the cup in the maker two or three times before brewing which will punch in more drain holes allowing the coffee to drain faster. You will need to rotate the cup each time, but It's worth a try.

Sometimes the plastic manufacturer uses is to hard. All I had to do is almost slam the top down to make sure hole is punched on bottom of k cup. I hope this helps

The Great Value coconut coffee and the hot chocolate pods do the same thing and it's a mess

December 13, 20200 found this helpful

Push your pod down and puncture the cup before you close your machine...my machine has a holder that locks into place...make sure your cup holder is in the right direction.
Once I added that tiny step, no problems with Walmart or any other brand of cups

No, you problem will NOT be solved by returning it to Walmart. For coffee k-cups, they will ONLY replace the product with the identical product from their shelves. No refund for this. I tried to return Great Value 100% Arabica Columbia beause it brewed like dishwater. They didn't have any in stock, so I went home with over 50 cups. When i see they have it in stock, I'll try again.

I've that that problem from time to time with several brands. Listen when you put the lid down for the pop sound, if it doesn't pause the machine and open it because for some reason the needle didn't puncture it. Turn the cup slightly and put the lid down again with a slightly quicker push and very slightly more pressure and you'll hear it pop.

I've been buying Walmart brand Columbian coffee for the past year. I loved the taste and the price. However, the last few bags I bought were horrible.

It tasted like muddy water, no matter how strong I make it! Has Walmart changed the supplier of their coffee?

Sara Lee makes some of the coffee. If you are unhappy, contact Walmart directly.

Yes, it is already ground. I'm sure that either Sara Lee or Walmart changed who they get their Colimbian coffee from.
I will contact Walmart.
Thank you!

To best know if they changed their supplier is to see if you could call and ask. Perhaps, check the back of the coffee packaging and see if there is anything that says call for feedback or money back guaranteed freshness?

I recently had mold in my jam and I called to give my feedback and they sent me coupons.

It is possible Walmart has changed suppliers.
The best way to find out is through their web site (but it is not always easy to reach the right department).
You can always call 1-800-925-6278 and ask how to contact by email (telephone service is not the best way to get information about their products).

But you can try this link:
Click on 'email customer service'
Check product question
click 'next' and you will have a form to complete.
(there will be a 'chat now' but that does not always help either)
Best results are achieved by email/writing..

I have noticed a change in the coffee also. The pods arent the same. Less coffee. You have to change the setting to less water or it is just muddy water. I will be looking elsewhere.
