Shining Patent Leather Shoes?

How do I shine Patent leather shoes? I rubbed them too hard with alcohol, and now the shine is gone!

You can also clean them with Vaseline. I use either cotton balls or tissue to rub Vaseline in, with circular motions. Then let set for about an hour, then rub, and buff with a soft cloth. Never clean with harsh chemicals on this sort of shoes.

Years ago we used to use Vaseline; the solid kind in a jar, not the lotion. Sue

I remember when I was a little girl, my mother used to use vaseline on my patent leather maryjanes. I'm not sure if this will work in your situation, but it's worth a try!
