Keep a Wet Washcloth for Emergency Cleaning

Instead of wasting all the baby wipes, cleaning messy faces and sticky fingers. I wet a washcloth, fold it and put it in a zip-lock bag. Carry one in your purse, diaper bag, car, wherever. The expensive baby wipes last a lot longer, and the washcloth is a lot softer than a baby wipe on your baby's tender face. The washcloth can be rinsed out, when needed and reused all day long.

My baby days are over so now I carry the wash cloth for the dog in her bag. It sure comes in handy for dirty feet getting into my car after potty breaks!

Only problem with this, is that if you forget about the washcloth after so many uses. It gets moldy and smells something awful.

I don't think a wash cloth is good. It will get dirty and carry germs and even if you rinse it out it is still dirty. I think wipes are better to keep from spreading germs especially when children have colds and everything else.

I'm 73 and I have been carting wet wash cloths around for years. For my first 3 boys I used bread bags. There were no Ziplocs in those days. Each one had his own bag with a different color wash cloth. I had another boy at 40 after the others were grown. He got scrubbed with them, too. They are especially handy in a restaurant.

Dry napkins won't clean boy dirt.
The jar idea I submitted gives off a lot of moisture here in Houston so I set it inside a gallon size bag with 2 washcloths to soak up the condensation. I have a cold washcloth to wipe my face when I'm stomping around downtown. I set the bag with my water jar inside my open purse and off I go!

It's been a long time since I've had little kids, but I keep clean cloths or rags in the car along with a refilled bottle of water. The cloth gets moistened with the water when I need it.

Great for a quick clean-up when hands or mouth gets sticky if I stop for an ice cream or burger. I throw the cloth in the wash when I get home.

I vote for disposable to avoid the moldy smell!
