Battery Operated Candles?

With the holidays coming soon I am on the lookout for single candles to put in my windows. However I do not want any electric cords. I need them to be run by batteries I guess and last a good while. Also I can't spend too much on them. Any suggestions? I love the look of a little burning candle in the window but battery ones used to run out too soon. I have pets so pillar candles are out. Thanks so much for any help. Happy Holidays!

I like the concept too, but do be careful about purchasing cheaply made nonelectric candles as bulbs cannot be replaced in some (learned this from experience) and I actually had one candle blacken and make a popping sound before the bulb burned out. I thought they would look nice in our church windows during Christmas, but not the cheap ones.

I found some on page 8 of the latest Picket Fence catalog, 800-810-2340, or www.ShopPicketFence.com. They are battery operated LED, so the bulbs should last a long time, and there are four in a set, for $17.95, plus S&H of $6.90.

They can sit on the sill or attach to your window with the included suction cup.

Be very careful which kind of battery operated candles you buy! The ones I purchased ate through 2 NEW AA batteries in 48 hours. I will go back to the electric ones - batteries are expensive!
