Orange Float

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 846 Posts

Remember those simple yummy Root Beer Floats? Well, I haven't had one in decades and was craving one but didn't have any root beer on hand. I do keep orange soda, which I love, and vanilla ice cream on hand! Turned out to be the best of both worlds; a float and an Orange Dreamsicle combined. Yep, I grabbed a spoon too ;-)

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • orange Soda
  • 1/2 orange slice, one slit cut in to the center for glass garnish

Directions:

Place scoops of vanilla ice cream in to an 8 ounce serving glass and fill with orange soda to cover ice cream. Garnish glass edge with orange slice and serve.

This is one of my favorite summertime treats, Deeli. I'm an "orange" lover from Florida, and enjoy most
things which end up with an orange flavor. Dreamsicles are my fav "ice-cream on a stick" too.

Thanks for the reminder.
