KJ is a 9 year old Pit Bull. My husband and I took him in after his first owner was going to take him to the pound. He was a year old. He's now 9. He likes demolishing all his toys, cleaning the other dogs' faces, harassing our cats, and truck rides.
The media makes pit bulls out to be mean by nature and vicious killers. This couldn't be further from the truth. KJ is the most loyal dog we own (out of 5). He is a very loving dog, loves attention and his personality is hilarious. He makes us laugh so hard sometimes.

Awww! Look at that face, so sweet. You can tell that is his car. Lol.
Pits are very smart dogs, and they learn very quickly to be vicious if that's the way they're taught when they're young. If they are treated with love and a gentleness, then that's what they learn. I've seen some of both, and sadly, the ones who were taught meanness turn out to be the ones who give the others a bad name. It's not their fault though.
There are dogs who have to learn to be watch and guard dogs to protect what their owners have. Those are the ones who are usually under control though.
Your KJ looks like a sweetheart and a nice family dog. You can take full credit for that if you raised him.
