Preventing a Dog from Getting Parvo?

I just brought home 3 puppies from my local shelter. I have a 1 year old Sheltie and want to make sure she is safe, if in fact these puppies come down with parvo or any other viruses.

Keep the area where the new pups are staying sanitized often and see they get their Parvo shots.

If the puppies came from a shelter, the shelter should have done most of the required vaccinations. Check with them to find out what your new puppies medical histories contain.

Agree with the other posters who already mentioned most shelters not releasing pups until they have their first round of shots; beyond that, you should really take any new pup to your own vet within a week to have it checked over and schedule the rest of the shots it needs to have to stay healthy.
