Converting Bread Recipes For Use in a Bread Machine?

Does anyone know how to take an old fashioned recipe and convert it to a bread machine recipe?

The general formula for a bread machine is 3 cups of flour and 1 cup of water,1 1/2 of the small measuring spoons of salt, 2 or 3 of the big measuring spoons of oil and 1 or 2 big spoons of sugar/honey .Yeast I use 2 small spoons of dry or 2 big spoons of fresh or fresh granulated. After that you can add extras like flax seed, wheat germ, bran,raisins,etc to about 1/3 measuring cup (total)

Treat the basic BM recipe like algebra is my motto - as long as you keep the basic dry/wet ratio, keep the salt , oil, and yeast constant you can make really healthy bread for much cheaper not to mention fresher and hotter than from the upmarket specialty health loaves. Best of British Luck!
