Planning a Trip to Europe?

What's better for two weeks in Europe: visit one country or take a tour for 3 or 4 countries? I saw some friends' pictures from Barcelona and Italy here http://www.viaggee.com and I want to visit Paris, too.

I love that website! You might try it out.

If your goal is to see as much as you can in the two weeks - then travel on! If your goal is immersion in one country/one culture - stay put and maybe check into a host family

If you have 14 days, go for it! See what you can afford in your time frame. Remember, countries over there are like going state to state in the US. Distance is not always the problem.

Decide what you want to see in these countries and work out the timescale. Don't forget to count the travelling time. We did the west coast of Scotland a few years ago but we crammed in too much (accommodation was already booked ahead).

We had planned what we wanted to do but travelling took up quite a lot of time and consequently we missed a ferry trip we wanted to take. Luckily we live in Scotland and can do it again.

If you are planning to go once a year, stay in one place and take it all in. If it is once in a lifetime then see as much as you can.
