Hemostat to Help with Sewing

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 181 Posts

Keep a hemostat in your sewing kit if you know a nurse you could get one from. It is handy for pulling/grabbing needles through thick fabric.

I use hemostats to tweeze my eyebrows when they get out of hand. I can't stand only plucking one or two at a time. Warning: Make sure you don't catch your skin with these!

I have several in my house. Besides the one with sewing. I use the one in kitchen to help open the foil tops on jars. I clamp onto the foil type lids and then just start rolling.

I don't have the strength in my fingers that I use to so they are very helpful.

Thanks, I have one for my jewelry making but never thought of sewing! Ooh, you can also find them at fishing & tackle stores such as Dicks sporting goods.
