How much should you offer to pay a friend to hang seven curtain rods?

If this is a single male, offer to fix a meal for him while he is hanging the rods. Most males would appreciate that, or even order a pizza.
I agree with redhatterb but if that's not the case,a cheap handy man you can figure $10 an hour, at least where I live.
Making a home cooked meal and maybe watching a movie together with the friend for the friend's help, whether they are male or female, would be payment enough. I've never had nor been a friend who expected cash in hand for a favor.
Being widow since last Feburary 2010 I now pay a male friend of my husband's (that we worshiped with) $10 an hour to do handy man jobs for me. I do not mind this at all AS I know I can at least trust him being around me and my home!
