For any reader out there who enjoys mysteries as well as family life and quilt-making may I suggest Earlene Fowler's "Benni Harper" series. There are 13 of them, each named for a quilt pattern, and they just get better and better from number one to number 13.

Looking for Old Fairy Tales Book

I had a book of fairy tales when I was a child and it finally fell apart. My mother threw it away one day and I would like to replace it. I do not know the title of it (sadly) and it has been 10 years since I have seen it. I purchased it at a yard sale. Now that I have children, I would like to read them stories from this book. There are many books out there that are good, but I want this particular book.

Ask About Your Library's Book Sale

Check out your local library Web site or ask to learn if they are having a book sale. Many libraries have them and sell donated books and other media for little or nothing. Book Review: Don't Waste Money, Spend It!

This book is about mindful spending. Unlike many other frugal living advisers, the author unabashedly shares her entertaining mistakes. Some examples: She once left a bathroom heater on all summer and ran up a high utility bill. She also re-gifted a book for a child's birthday party forgetting that there was an inscription on the flyleaf.
