Do It Yourself Outdoor Christmas Decorations
Our do-it-yourself outdoor Christmas decoration began as a way to recycle things that our college age children had left at home. With three teenagers away at college, you can imagine all of the items that I had been stuck with.
Here's a quick and easy way to dress up to those plain glass ornaments in your Christmas box. While you're at it, make several.

Making Outdoor Decorative Flags For Christmas
Could anyone tell me if they have ever made those Outdoor Decorative Flags (28 inches x 40 inches)?
Here are a couple pictures of the yard art that my husband and I make. They are hand cut from birch plywood and handpainted. The figures in the Charlie Brown Christmas display are about 24 inches tall, and the Grinch who stole Christmas is 48 inches tall.
Handmade Christmas Wreath. A couple years ago, I needed a new Christmas wreath for the front door. Being frugal, I wanted to see if I could make one just as nice but more inexpensively than new.

Creative Christmas Decorations
Creative Christmas Decorations. Out at the farm where we've lived most of our lives, we had a huge deck to decorate for Christmas. We had whiskey barrel planters in 2 corners so I went to a thrift shop and got used artificial trees.

Holiday Decorations - Water Feature. My water feature holiday decorations. I placed 3 lighted Christmas gifts in front of the pond; I put silk poinsettas on the water fall and a Santa in the center of the rock at the base of the waterfall; I have pots of ornamental kale; pansies, mums, and other winter annuals.
Making a Giant Christmas Wreath
Making a Giant Christmas Wreath. Does anyone have instructions for making a GIANT wreath for Christmas? The one I want is large enough to step through. I saw one mounted on a porch at the front just above the steps and was 6 or 7 feet tall.

Making Christmas Swags by Reusing Items
These are some swags I made for our porch where we keep our firewood. For each swag I took two branches from our old artificial Christmas tree. I laid them on top of each other, with one slightly higher. To hold them together I tore a piece of duck tape in half widthwise so it was narrow and then taped them together. I then hot glued on the pinecones which I got from my neighbor. For the bows I used an old jumper dress that I cut strips out of. I also painted the tips of the pinecones with a little bit of white paint after they were all assembled.
How do you make an inflatable snow globe?
Natural Outdoor Christmas Decorations
I am looking for some "natural" decorating ideas for the Christmas Holiday. I plan on using Magnolia leaves, pine bows and pine cones as interior decorations. What I would really like is some outside ideas that I can use. Particularly for my front door and back door as well as my mailbox.
Milk Bottle (or Carton) Christmas Candles
I have heard about people on Christmas Eve surrounding their house with candles in milk bottles or cartons. I would like to hear from anyone who can give me details on how this is done. Is it plastic bottles or cartoons used? Are they painted and do they have sand in them? Or is there anything else about them you can tell me so I can make them next year? Lyn Morley From Australia
"Silver" Chain Outdoor Tree Decoration
Have the kids or grandkids make you a chain of silver for the tree. Mine made me enough to decorate my dwarf peach tree when they were in grade school. Now they are grown and it is still used. They made a "paper chain" using foil. I love it. It has been rained on and windblown, and has lost a few links but still looks great on the tree. HUGS By Great Granny Vi
Outdoor Decorations - "Paper" Chains
Make everlasting outdoor decorations by cutting plastic containers (like soda bottle, yogurt containers etc) into strips and stapling them into "paper chains". Parents will need to cut but even small kids can staple! By Linda

This are pictures of what I call Anything Wreaths, just to show you can make your own wreaths very inexpensively out of just about anything. Both are made using grapevine bases, which I picked up for pennies at yard sales, and a glue gun. The larger "gold" one is filled with gold holly leaf sprigs that had pink jewels attached, which I got free from a friend who was going to throw them out.
