Reindeer Punch

When my kids were little, we would make this for Christmas Eve, and we made sure there was enough for Santa to take to his reindeer! We used a old bucket that I decorated for them!

Lime Gelatin Trees

Use pointed paper cups for making lime gelatin "trees." Cut away paper when mold is firm and decorate with cream cheese or Cool Whip.

Plum Pudding

Really is very good! Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a 2 quart baking dish, stir together plums, 1 cup sugar, water, tapioca, and cinnamon. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Roasted Chestnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Cut a 1/2 inch crisscross on the flat side of each nut. Be sure to cut through the shell to prevent the nut from exploding.

Quick "Eggnog"

For a quick holiday eggnog cup of cheer, add a scoop of Country style vanilla ice cream (the type with lots of eggs) to a mug then pour some scalded milk over the top. Add your adult beverage choice of rum or brandy.

Fudge

Mix all ingredients except nuts into a large saucepan. Cook to soft ball stage (about 236 degrees F). Remove from heat and let set to chill without stirring until cool so that it feels barely warm.

Non-Alcoholic Wassail

Turn the crock-pot on high and pour in the apple and cranberry juices. Stir in the sugar and allspice, then add cinnamon sticks. Stud the orange with the cloves, about 25 or 30 cloves should do the trick, and toss it in.
