Value of Vintage Theater Seats
We have a wood and leather theatre seat that has 4 flip up seats. We could not make out the "Made By" stamp on the bottom of each flipup seat until now after many many months of research. It was made by the Sydney Art Mantel Works Enmore of 1912. We are now trying to get an estimate on what to sell it for. We would love to keep it and turn it into a quirky piece, but don't want to "destroy" it if it could be of historical value to somebody! I would rather sell it to somebody to restore it and continue its history. Anyone have any thoughts?
Antique Winselmann Sewing Machine
Does anyone out there know anything about an antique sewing machine from the 1860's called a Winselmann. It is also called a coffin top. It was made in Germany, but none were ever sold outside of that country. Thanks any answers will be appreciated.
Determining the Value of a Silver Tray
I have a silver serving tray. How can I tell what it is worth? It's about 13 x 16 inches. It is stamped with: Rogers Bros. Made and Guaranteed by Mariden Company 295 1/2. Below that is a 20. It weighs 5.2 lbs and was dated and engraved March 15th, 1917.
Identifying Silver Service Markings
I have a cream and sugar bowl that is marked 175 and a teapot that is marked 597? Is this silver? I know it is very old; it is my grandfather's sister's.
Identifying the Maker of a Brass Bed
Can someone help me identify this brass/iron bed? The bed headboard and footboard are vintage, maybe antique. I have scoured the internet and have yet to find anything remotely looking like this design.

I have a 1867 approximate, Winselmann treadle coffin top sewing machine that was made in Germany. I am not sure if it was ever imported to Canada. There is no info available on the internet for this machine.

Determining Value of an Antique Philadelphia Lawn Trimmer
I just got a reel type Philadelphia Lawn Trimmer. It has on the handle, 1912 cast in, as well as, Philadelphia. This is not a full width but a narrow trimmer, with one drive wheel and one small wheel on the other side. This is the first one I have seen of this type.
Determining the Age of a Murphy Cedar Chest
I have a Murphy cedar chest that says Murphy 18 on the back. It was in pieces when I found it beside the road. My grandfather was a master carpenter so he was able to put it back together and it looks like it just came off of the show room floor now.
Redoing the Lettering on an Antique Sewing Machine
My husband and I have been refurbishing my great grandmother's Singer sewing machine. We used soap and water to clean the machine itself and the gold lettering came off. Does any one have ideas where to get stencils to redo them?
