This is an old craft revisited and made much simpler now with a glue gun.
Craft Project: Fancy Fingertip Towels
You can make one or many of these fancy towels to give as a gift or to keep for yourself.
Denim Toilet Seat and Tank Covers
This is a denim toilet seat and tank cover set I made from some lightweight denim scraps I had, combined with an old doily and some scraps of lace.
A useful and pretty bow holder made of inexpensive, if not on-hand, scraps.
I thought up this idea last night as I was looking around my house and seeing all these hand sanitizer bottles I have sitting around. As I am known for not liking to display commercial labels, I decided to get my supply of seashells out and decorate the outside of the bottles.
Craft Project: Beach Reminder Jars
I picked up these interesting little jars at a thrift store for 25 cents. They sort of reminded me of perfume jars so I thought they would be nice in the bathroom.
Craft Project: Valentine Mason Jar Soap Dispenser
Create Decorative Soap Dispensers by using mason jars and recycled pump dispensers from inexpensive store bought liquid hand soap plastic dispensers. Add themed fabric circles and ribbon to create a very pretty dispenser for liquid hand soap or lotions. Any glass jar or plastic ones for kids bathrooms work well and metal lids work best.
Craft Project: Seashell Soap Dish
All you have to do is take the big shell and glue onto the little shell as in picture. Then put your soap in and enjoy or you can use for decorative purposes.
Convert An Old Dresser Into A Bathroom Sink Stand
When I bought my house, it needed extensive updating. I had to keep costs down, so I bought a dresser at an auction to use as my vanity. I tried crackling it but did not get the desired effect so I stenciled a leaf pattern on and then sanded some of the paint away to get a shabby chic look.
This is a vintage pattern that was originally made with an oval bar of Sweetheart Soap. Since Sweetheart Soap is no more, you will have to improvise. The soap that I have used for this pattern was found at the Dollar Tree Store. The fish in the picture at the right is sitting on the box that the soap came in.
Pretty up your powder room with a lace toilet tank topper. Measure the top of your toilet tank lid. From a lace curtain, cut a piece the same size as your measurements, but adding half an inch on all sides.
Paint a design over one side of the bar of soap, using the acrylic paints. Let dry. Meanwhile, in a double boiler over medium heat, place canning wax.
Custom Shower Curtain and Liner On The Cheap
I have made my own custom curtains and plastic liners and I raised the spring tension rod to near ceiling height. I have used a sheet for the outer curtain and bought plastic from the fabric store for the liner.
