Craft Project: CD Spindle Toilet Paper Holder
This is a great recycling craft that is easy enough for kids to do with parent supervision. This is an earth friendly craft as we need to recycle, reuse as much as we can to keep plastic out of the land fills.
I love buttons! I also save lots of things you might consider JUNK, which I re-use to make beautiful household items and jewelry, like my button and earring trees.
Our master bathroom had no windows and I wanted something in there that made me feel as though it did and looked pretty to match my floral theme. I like to free hand paint so I bought an old wooden 2 pane glass window which I bought at our local salvage place that recycles, it cost $2. I repainted the outside of the frame white then I took a sharpie marker and freehanded on my design (from the back side, all the painting is done on the back side glass. I think it gives it a sharper look in contrast but the other side or other way is just as pretty too)
This "CD" is fun to make. I print a photo sent to me. Position the CD over the center of subject and draw around the CD. Cut it,I used Mod Podge to adhere it to the CD. I wrote who is the picture. In this case my pen-pal and her new baby brother. I embellished the outside with a sparkle glue.

My mom's vintage circle skirt paired up with two of my old fringed T's that were destined for the ragbag. This was a fun project! Not long ago, there was another ThriftyFun post similar with the cloth in the embroidery hoop for a little life to a bare wall. This print was so awesome I couldn't resist making it into an "eye catcher" to add some PUNCH to my wall!
