Repairing Vintage Quilts

July 8, 2005

Damaged QuiltI bought an old quilt at a yard sale. It had several stains around the edges that would not come out. I quilt myself, so I searched through my material and found very similar scraps and one identical. I cut different shapes from these scraps and sewed them over the stains. I added more than needed, for effect. The end result looked like the original quilter just left some scraps laying about. Lovely!
