Make Your Own Moon Sand

For "moon sand", mix 9 cups play sand (really fine sand you can find at Wal-Mart). Add 3 cups cornstarch and 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups water. Start with 2 1/4 cup and continue adding water until you have the desired consistency. Mix well. Cover and store in an airtight container.

Dish Soap Paint

To make paint that is great for painting temporary designs on windows or even sidewalks, try dish soap paint! You can also paint on paper with it. Once it is dry, it has a nice shiny finish. Clean up is a breeze. You need to use clear or light colored dish soap.

Puffy Paint Recipe

To make a batch of puffy paint, simply mix equal parts of shaving cream and Elmer's glue. Add food coloring, a few drops at a time, until you get the desired color. Apply the glue to heavy paper using a sponge brush. Let the painting dry before moving it.
