Drying Limes

Dried lime slices have many uses. They make a great garnish and are a flavorful ingredient in many recipes. It is easy to dry limes at home.

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
  2. Wash and dry the limes.
  3. Cut, unpeeled, into thick slices.
  4. Discard the ends.
  5. Place the slices on a wire rack and place it on a cookie sheet.
  6. Dry the lime slices in the oven for 4 hours.
  7. Remove them and continue to air dry.
  8. Store them in an air tight container.
