Safely Storing Steak KnivesDo you have steak knives laying loose in a drawer? Control them and keep fingers from getting cut by gathering the blades together and putting a paper towel tube over them. Fold the end over and run a rubber band from end to end. Sure controls clutter and I feel better when my grandchildren reach in the drawer as they set the table.

A good knife is a sharp knife. However, knives can cut you if not stored properly. I make my own knife sheaths out of cardboard. You can use packing materials, cereal boxes or any other cardboard. Cut to size and tape edges shut.
