September 4, 2011

Photo of a cactus.I need help identifying this cactus. I purchased it locally and it wasn't identified, unfortunately it has died and I can't seem to find anymore. I am hoping that if I can out find any information about it that I can purchase another online.

Looks like a Hoodia (Asclepiadaceae). The flowers have the typical five petals and are large and disc shaped, in colours ranging from off-white to rust. They occur in south west Africa.
