Stopping Dry Rot in Living Fruit Tree

We topped a couple 3 inch branches many years ago on our now 30 year old Santa Rosa plum. I saw some white on the bark and stuck a screwdriver into soft wood. I cut some more off this branch and it had dry rot (white). I kept cutting and am now to the trunk and the dry rot continues.

Garden: Banana Tree (Musa)

This banana tree is four years old and has very small bananas on it. I was lucky to take this picture because this year in January, we had 7 inches of snow and it was killed by the snow and cold. I was heartbroken.

Late Maturing Apple Tree

I am trying to find an old apple tree variety that used to grow outside of our house. I know this variety is at least 100 years old and would love to replace the dead tree with a new one of the same variety. It is a late maturing apple, yellowish green in color, sweet and crisp.

I have several of these trees growing in my yard. They are volunteers, meaning they just grew up on their own. I live in the Pacific Northwest (Western Washington near Puget Sound). New ones grow up around the largest tree so I'm assume they are from seed from the tree. They have some white flowers in the spring and the fruit shown in one of the pictures is about the size of a jumbo olive and olive shaped or plum shaped.
