Plastic coat hangers, usually gotten when you purchase clothes, have two clips on them. Cut the clips off and use for closures on bags of chips, etc. They are sturdy, last a long time, and are free.

Removing the Coffee Smell from Plastic Canisters

How do I get the coffee smell out of the Folders coffee canisters? I have tried baking soda and putting it in the sun for a few days, but the coffee smell always comes back. I want to use these for Christmas treats and I don't want them to smell like coffee. Please help. Thank you.

Re-using Plastic Liquid Laundry Soap Bottles

I wash out the empty bottles. Rinse them thoroughly. Cut the top off of the bottle including the top of the handle. You still have the handle left for holding it and you can use it for a scoop for birdseed.....
