Converting a Basement into a Bedroom
My husband, two kids 11 and 6 and I are moving in with my mom. We are very excited! My husband and I are going to have our bedroom in the basement. The basement is a mess. I was wondering, instead of feeling overwhelmed, how do we start?
Paint Color Advice for a Pink, White, Tan, and Blue Bathroom
What color would look good with a white toilet and sink? My tub is pink and the tile around it is blue. Also, I have tan to white tile.
Paint Color Scheme for Finished Basement
I am finishing my basement and need colors for it. This is what I am thinking. Light mocha colored walls with one wall being a red accent wall. Knotty alder cabinets with a dark glaze and black counter tops. Red furniture.
Finishing Cinder Block Walls in Basement
My basement walls have cylinder blocks under thin tile, which I removed. I am looking for an inexpensive way to do my walls. Should I go back to panel? I don't use the basement except for washing clothes so I don't want to invest too much money.
I'm planning to (cheaply!) renovate my basement, which is finished. I need advice on how (if at all) I can remove a small wall (made of fake/plywood wood paneling) without having to remove all or part of the suspended ceiling that is partially attached to this wall.
I have a basement tub on a sump pump that does not drain well. I think it is not getting enough air. Question is, how do I get more air to it?
Use Pool Chlorine To Kill Mold
When my basement flooded, I had mold which made me sick. I used liquid Pool Chemicals in a field sprayer to wash everything in the basement. It killed the mold and washed right down. This was safe, didn't need any breathing equipment. I'm sure this can be used on our roofs here in the NW.
Inexpensive Basement Finishing
I want to fix up a room in my basement for my kids to hang out/play in. Currently it is an unfinished basement, but we do have rooms framed up. The exterior walls are insulated with plastic sheeting over the insulation. We cannot afford a traditional basement finish. Does anyone have ideas for an inexpensive fix up to make the basement more warm and inviting to be in? (ie: wall treatment, flooring etc.) Would love to see before and after pics from anyone who has done this.
