Countertop Color for Bathroom with Yellow Fixtures
I have yellow sinks and a tub in my little girl's bathroom and my designer put in hideous marble countertops. I have no idea what color countertops to replace them with. What do you suggest?
Painting an Avonite Countertop
I've seen the many beautiful results from painting formica and cultured marble. Do these same techniques work on Avonite? It's an acrylic solid surface material similar to Corian. It's nice stuff, I just don't like the particular color/pattern in my half bath.
Dye Light Towels To Match Decor
I went shopping to a local store and was going to catch some towels on sale. They only had 2 colors left and I had a store credit and it was the last day of the sale and no rainchecks. No other store had the color I wanted either. I got a light color and 1 pack of dye. So, I went home and followed the directions on the dye and the color

If you want to make an old-fashioned perfume or lotions container, you can use old perfume bottles from second-hand stores, garage sales, flea markets and etc.

Unusual Way to Store Extra Toilet Paper
I visited a friend's house by the beach and saw the coolest way to store toilet paper rolls in their small bathroom. They had an old wooden oar which they leaned back between the toilet and the wall - and then they put the toilet paper rolls on the shaft of the oar!
A pal has decorated her bathroom in Angels. Not only do her shower curtain, bath rug, towels and wash cloths have angels on them, but she's taken a good sized bulletin board and placed on a wall. She covered the cork part in a solid color gift wrap.

I hope all of the wonderful people that gave me suggestions see this. I took the idea from camo_angels to use a beach theme. I stenciled shells in the same color as the floor tiles and it looks great.
I am looking for Kim Andersons shower curtains and or bathroom decor. I tried on Ebay but found nothing. They are the cute little kids dressed like adults in black and white.

Decorating a Tropical Bathroom
I was decorating my children's bathroom in tropical fish and when I tried to find some counter items to hold cotton balls and such I was less than impressed with the selection. Then I thought I would create some items so I went to my local Wal-mart and looked in the pet section for fish bowls.

To decorate a room. Pick something that makes you "happy" when you think about it. ie; a pleasant time in your life, a vacation even a song. Then shop around at thrift stores/discount stores, and find anything that has to do with that idea.
Temporary Border In The Bathroom
When decorating my daughters' bathroom in ducks and daisies, I didn't want to use a border in case I wanted to change it when they got older, so I painted the walls a light sky blue and then used the foamy paper to cut out large hand drawn daisies (just five petals or so).
