I wanted to change the shades on my dining room light to match my decor. I made a pattern with newspaper, transferred the pattern to fabric, added iron on interfacing for stability, used fabric glue at the seams, and glued a decorative braid at the top and bottom edges.
I have some light blue velvet drapes. Is there any safe way (shrinkage prevention) to dye them a darker or brighter blue?
I intend to replace the louvers from my interior shutters with fabric inserts. I will staple-gun the fabric to cover the opening but need ideas for covering the staples.
