Removing Wallboard Over Drywall

I have 1980s board paneling it looks like tile. It's in the bathroom. It looks like it is glued to the drywall. It covers all the walls with full coverage. I want to paint the bathroom. What do I do to get the paneling off, without destroying the drywall, so I can paint the walls?

After removing wood paneling that had been glued on over an unfinished drywall, I noticed that the drywall paper had been torn away in several spots. The exposed gypsum is smooth and intact. Can I tape over these areas or should the drywall be replaced?

Making a Faux Rock Wall

Making a Faux Rock WallThese 'rocks' are made of joint compound and were formed directly on the wall in stages. After each coat dried, I added more compound until I built up the rock. They aren't finished; I will add more color and will use real grout in between the rocks.
