I open the cans and let the paint dry out and dispose of in the trash. I haven't needed to do this in Ocean City, so I am not sure of their legal disposal rules, which is probably the best place to start. Make sure you're "green"!

Here in Georgia at our county dump, there is a bin marked for used paint disposal.
Check with your local county.
