I went to an office supply store and bought some cheap file folders. I sew them along the sides then cut the pattern envelope to the size of the file folder and tape or glue it on the outside.

Most of us beaders have a lot of plastic multi-slotted storage boxes and they get heavy. Pulling one from a stacked group can be difficult with the chance of an avalanche. I have been able to obtain good quality plastic paperwork stacking trays at yard sales.
I love the texture and color of beads and buttons. Until recently, each attempt to organize them usefully failed. I found a shelf at a yard sale and washed small bottles until all of my beads and buttons can be seen.
Rewind Yarn So it Pulls From Center
It's always easiest to use yarn which pulls from the center. If you have some that does not pull from the center of the skein, here's a simple solution. Holding the end of the yarn in the heel of your hand, wrap the yarn around your thumb 12 or 15 times.
Because of the width and depth of the shot glass, a glue bottle placed upside down will sit on the rim of the glass and the tip of the glue bottle will not touch the bottom of the glass.
Use Film Canisters For Storing Small Items
Use empty film canisters to store beads, jewelry findings, etc. in. You can glue one of the content items on the lid of canister. Works great.
