How do you make a baby shower cake?
Birthday Cake With Chocolate Curls
I made this cake for my nephew's second birthday. For the chocolate shavings, I used chocolate at room temperature and a vegetable peeler.
This is a buggy cake on a wooden board covered with baby shower inexpensive paper. The cake used 2 small round pans for wheels and one large round cut and shaped for the main body of buggy. I also used candy molds around and on the cake. Small candies on top and inside the hollow chocolate molds on side of buggy.
I didn't want to do a commercial cartoon party theme for my son's second birthday, so since he loves animals, I chose that as the theme. This is the birthday cake that our friend Erin made for my son. It was adorable! She used frosting to decorate animal crackers with details (stripes on the tigers, etc.), and pretzel rods with green frosting on top as palm trees. It was a great party, and everyone loved the cake.
I make a lot of cakes. I decided that since I was going to an Ethiopia Celebration that I would make something exciting. So I made an Ethiopian Flag. The cake is vanilla made from scratch. Then I made homemade butter icing and created this beautiful flag. The only problem we had is we didn't want to cut the cake.
Decorated Baby Cake For Shower
This was a cake I made for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. It was made with 2 layer cakes: one 10 inches for body and one 9 inches for the head. The feet arms and diaper are made of fondant, the eyes and mouth of chocolate.
Help Making a Large Race Car Cake
I am having a hot wheels party for my son and my mother in law is going to make the cake but I want to give her a little help. I have told her that I want a figure 8 black race car track on the cake and I will put some cars on the track but I have no clue how she is going to make this. Has anyone ever done it before? Can anybody give me some tips to give her? She has never made a race car cake like this before and I am needing it for 40-45 people. Any ideas would be appreciated! Erricka
