Bella "No No" Kirkus is a 1 year old Shar-Pei/Lab mix. We adopted her when she was 5 weeks old. The vet office found a litter of pups in a box by a dumpster and the rest is history!
Mr. Black and Tiger (Domestic Shorthair)
Mr. Black, with his brother Tiger, came one stormy Halloween night and never left. Mr. Black and Tiger are about 9 years old. They were half grown teenagers who moved in taking over our lives.
Cooper is a 5 month old Beagle. I was walking my other dog Chompers, and he ran to a bush and started sniffing. I saw what looked like a stuffed animal. I went to look closer and it was a puppy!
Here's a photo of my beautiful 16-year-old Tracey. She looks as if she has eyeliner around her eyes and, at times, looks like a gorgeous, exotic woman. I almost lost her last year.
Niño is a 6 year old Yorkie-Poo. I replied to an ad in a local publication in May of 2005 and visited the litter. He appeared to be the ambitious runt at 3-weeks old and since I always go for the "underdog", he stole my heart.
Syrup is my 12 year old French Bulldog. Syrup enjoys long and relaxing sleeps :-) He is the most laid back dog I have ever known.
Zaz (Congo African Grey Parrot)
Zaz is a 9 year old Congo African Grey Parrot. We got Zaz last April. I found him listed on Craig's List. He came from another family who loved him enough to give him up.
Duke is a 2 year old Chow/Lab mix. My fiance got him for me 2 years ago for Christmas. He loves to play ball. Duke is a great dog, he doesn't bark unless there is someone in the yard that he doesn't know. He is my best friend and a momma's boy as I like to call him.
Sunshine and Blue Moon (Parakeets)
Sunshine and Blue Moon are 2 year old parakeets. I was wishing for a happy noise while working in the kitchen. So, I found my yellow parakeet calling her Sunshine. When she left her nest, another bird seemed so unhappy. Blue Moon was her boyfriend, it was just too obvious.
Samantha (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier)
Samantha is a 7 year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. She was at the vet clinic where I work as a dog groomer. She had been attacked by a Lab and torn up pretty good. The other dog had almost punctured her lung. She had 18 stitches across her back.
Hoku is a 7 year old black cat. Though we have 8 cats, and love them all dearly, Hoku is my special boy. He'll follow me around the house like a shadow, and will leap up into my arms when asked to.
In Memory of Willow (Chihuahua)
Willow was my 2 year old Chihuahua. My daughter gave Willow to me. Willow loved to be near me and participate in anything I was doing. I've had a lot of pets in my lifetime, yet Willow was the one who stole my heart forever. She seemed to adore me in a time in my life I felt very alone.
Hendrix and Harley (Flame Point Siamese)
Hendrix and Harley are Flame Point Siamese. I got these handsome boys a little over 14 years ago. A little boy in the neighborhood was selling kittens for $10 each. I went by and picked out the one I wanted, and told the family I would return later that night to pay them and get the kitten.
Ivyann is a 3 year old Chihuahua. I got her 3 years ago from a reputable breeder. Ivy loves to play with her toys, go for walks, and car rides.
Shandee is a 4 year old Tortoiseshell kitty. Shandee was a gift from her mom's final litter. There isn't much our little Tortie won't do for fun...
Peanut (Red and White Male Cat)
Peanut, P. Nut or Mr. P. Nut is about a 9 month old red and white male cat. He was just a baby when I saw him at the shelter and he stuck his paw out at me. He had the screaming "Me-mes". He would not stop hollering and howling.
Blossom is a 6 year old Calico kitty. I brought her over to Florida, by plane, from Tucson after getting her checked out and vaccinated. I gave her a prescribed sedative for the long trip ahead of us on Southwest Airlines, stopping once in Phoenix.
Jett is an American crow stranded by his parents. We raised him until he was 7 months old, then he flew away. He just hung around the yard, and was such fun. We never caged him once he learned to fly. He went with us everyplace outside.
Mr. Wiggles is an 8 week old Mini Dachshund. He is one of Miss Penelope's little babies. There are 4 all together.
We adopted Gidget in February. She is a 2 year old Pit Bull. I was searching the internet to help my mom find a new kitty friend. I came across Gidget's profile on a a rescue's website and fell in love.
Lola is a 6 year old Boxer. We have had Lola for 4 years. Our family dog had just passed away and we heard that a friend of a friend had a dog that needed a home.
Sig is a 1 year and 9 months old and an American Bulldog. I got him on the Christmas of 2008. Sig loves chase me when I ride my bike. Sig is the most loving dog he loves to be hugged and kissed. As big as he is he is so gentle. He's my Gentle Giant.
Oh I love my little toys so very much! They're all mine and I am not going to share so don't you even think about touching them! Not even you mommy ;-)
Cha Cha is 6 1/2 years old and a Chihuahua. Cha Cha is a rescue dog. She came from a home where the other family dog treated her badly. The other dog had a litter so the family decide to let Cha Cha go.
