Organizing Photos Using a Shoe Organizer
Over the years, I have taken many pictures. On a rainy afternoon, I started to sort through them so I could start putting them into albums. I was surrounded by stacks of photographs and boxes of more photographs.
Keeping Gel Pills From Getting Sticky In Hot Weather
I found a simple way to keep my pills from sticking together in my weekly pill holder. I have 3 or 4 gel caps and, in this hotter weather, they stick together or to the container.
Photograph Your Belongings for Insurance Purposes
When contemplating your homeowners or renters insurance, consider this idea to speed things along. Use your digital camera and take pictures of all four walls in each room, close ups of opened drawers and closets, bathroom cabinets, garage contents opened tool boxes, etc.
Use Cutlery Tray for Desk Drawer Organizer
Ever wondered what other uses cutlery trays have? I cheaply sourced one at a garage sale recently with an extra sliding top tray which lifts off. I ended up using it to store/organize stationary bits and pieces in a drawer in our computer room.
My necklaces kept getting tangled up in the box so I super-glued this piece of wood, with hooks attached, to the inside of the wardrobe door. It is much handier and I can see at a glance what I have.
Berry Basket for Holding Sliced Cheese
I have always hated after opening the cellophane package of cheese slices that they spread out in the fridge. I found the ideal holder for these slices just today!
If you have some clean cans and some strong bulldog clips, you can have a catch all to keep handy. Just put the clip everywhere the tins meet, and fill evenly with things like I did. I put in office, tool, and craft supplies.
Store Plastic Photo Organizers In File Drawer
I was cleaning out some file cabinets to sell today and happened to find a shoe box full of photos. I picked it up, the phone rang, and I sat it down. When I came back, it turns out I had set it on the rungs and holy cow if it didn't fit!
I get these wonderful shoe bag hangers for cheap at thrift shops. When I wanted to organize all the bigger skeins of yarn in my craft room, I began to save 2 liter bottles.
It's true. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure especially when it comes to cleaning. In this picture, I wrapped the plastic grocery bag handles around the handle of the milk jug, leaving enough of the handle because the bag can be slippery.
Have you ever lost a button when away from home? Well, I have several times and have needed an emergency sewing kit. I have been trying to think of a way to make one to go into my purse that didn't take a lot of room.
Create Display Shelves Above Windows
Some time ago someone posted an idea to use shelves over windows. I had commented that I did the same thing only I used wooden door gingerbread trim to make the side brackets so that I could hang my curtain rods through them.
Recycled Shredder for Toiletries
I had this little shredder for a while and it began to show it's age. I painted it and used it for earrings and my make up brushes. It's perfect with my black and red bathroom!
Freeze Recycled Containers for Lunches
I was eating some applesauce and yogurt today and I had this amazing idea. If you filled the yogurt cup 1/2 full of water and froze it, you could fill the applesauce cup with fruit, pudding, yogurt, dip, dressing, ice cream, or even applesauce!
First off, it has been years since I last paid someone to color my hair. I have done my own and saved money doing it. But, I needed a way to remind me when I last colored my hair.
Craft Project: Telephone and Remote Caddy
Handy TV Remote/Telephone Caddy for back of couch, arm of chair or bedside. Cut two 45x15 inch and two 15x6 inch pieces of material. Cut two pieces of trim.
Recycle Business Cards As File Tab Inserts
I was going through some old business cards thinning out the desk today. I came across clear file tabs at the same time. I noticed that the shorter edge of the card was the same width as the shorter tabs, and the length of the cards were the same as the longer tabs.
Don't have a place to hang your calendar? Loop a string from your blinds through the hole in the calendar and knot it (not too tight). Now you don't have to have push-pin holes in your walls! And you can pull the string and make the calendar as high or low as you want it.
A new use for floppy disc cases. For the most part, floppies are no longer useful. However, their cases can be. I just found these for 10 cents at a thrift shop, and can think of several things to do with them.
My husband and I just purchased and had delivered a new front load washer and dryer. We have 4 children and us in the house and all of us (yes the kids do their own laundry) using the washer and dryer.

Whether scouring tag sales or the attic, the find of a large wooden dresser is akin to finding buried treasure. It is an amazingly versatile piece of furniture, and it's a shame to see one unappreciated at the curbside.
Hoarding: Cleaning and Maintenance
I have a sister who does q-tip cleaning. Now, the first time she mentioned that to me, I immediately thought of the world's tiniest feather duster, ready to take on a dusty q-tip.
My Frugal Life: Ways To Reuse Recyclables
