For different kinds of Frappuccino
I have tried to "like" coffee for many, many years; the smell of it brewing is wonderful, but I have never been able to acquire a taste for it. My daughter, however, recently insisted I try a McDonald's caramel frapuccino, even though it has coffee in it. Surprisingly, I loved it! I've had several since, but because it's a bit pricey, I'd love to make it myself. Do any TF family members have a recipe you could share? I sure would appreciate your help! Blessings.

Caseye, try it with instant first then try purchasing a cup of regular coffee 'to go' from anywhere and try it that way too :-) If you like the regular brewed coffee flavor better than the instant then spend the money to purchase a coffee maker, filter and ground coffee and save the instant for 'in a pinch' :-)
Does anyone have a recipe for a caramel blended creme frappuccino? Thanks!

Frosty Caramel Cappuccino
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup 2% milk
3 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons caramel sauce
2 teaspoons instant espresso powder
8-10 ice cubes
4 tablespoons whipped cream (fresh or canned)
1. In the bowl of a food processor or blender, combine the 1/2 and 1/2, milk, 3 Tablespoons of the caramel sauce, espresso powder, and the ice cubes. Cover and whirl until the mixture is smooth.
2. Pour the cappuccino into two chilled glasses. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with the remaining 2 teaspoons of caramel sauce. Serve immediately. Makes 2 servings. I hope you like this.
I am looking for any recipe(s) for Frappuccinos. Someone out there surely has their version that taste just as good as those sold in the stores in the glass bottles, that are very expensive.
Thanks in advance.

Combine coffee and sugar and chill. Add milk and pectin, shake together thoroughly and chill again. To serve, zap in a blender for 30 to 45 seconds, or shake mixture in ice, strain and serve. For vanilla add a capful of vanilla extract; for mocha, add a pinch of cocoa powder.
Make double-strength coffee by brewing with twice the coffee required by your coffee maker approximately 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per each cup of coffee. Chill before using.
Like Starbuck's Frozen Frappuccino (2 large servings)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until ice is crushed and drink is smooth. Pour into two 16-ounce glasses, and serve with a straw.
For caramel, add 3 tablespoons of caramel topping; for mocha add 3 tablespoons of Hershey's syrup. If desired, top with whipped cream and drizzle additional sauce over top of cream. (07/07/2006)

Mix all in a blender, then add about 2 cups crushed ice (or 3 cups cubed). As soon as the drink gets thick, like a milkshake, you can stop adding ice, and it should be perfect. Delicious. (07/21/2008)

I love the frozen drinks at Starbucks, but they are so expensive. Does anyone have any recipes that are as smooth and creamy as Starbucks and, needless to say, as yummy?

Brew coffee and water. In a large pitcher combine coffee and other ingredients. Stir until dissolved. Cover and chill in refrigerator.
Per serving place 1 cup ice and 1 cup chilled coffee mix in blender. Blend on high until ice is completely crushed and drink is frothy (1-2 minutes approximately). Pour in glass, top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate and caramel syrups.
Unused portion of mix may be stored in fridge for one week. Keep covered. (03/01/2005)

Starbuck's Frozen Frappuccino
The Frappuccino is blended with strong coffee, sugar, a dairy base, and ice. Make double-strength coffee by measuring 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per cup (serving) in your coffee maker. The copy will be even more authentic if you use Starbucks beans and grind them yourself just before brewing.
Coffee
Makes 2 large drinks.
Caramel: For this, add 3 tablespoons of caramel topping to the original recipe above and prepare as described. Top each glass with whipped cream and drizzle additional caramel over the whipped cream.
Mocha: For this version, add 3 tablespoons Hershey's chocolate syrup to the original recipe and prepare as described. Top each glass with whipped cream if desired (03/11/2007)

Like I said earlier, I got this recipe from Nestle. I love it. (11/17/2007)

The measurements are to taste that you prefer over time there is no order to the mixture:
There is no secret to the mixture in what to add first. If you want some protein add a whole egg. If you want ice cream use less milk. If you want a zip and a zing add a shot of Caffee Lolita Coffee Liqueur. If you are diabetic well you know what to do in that case. Enjoy the fun. (11/03/2008)
