Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour 24 muffin cups, or use paper liners. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 12 cup muffin tin or line with paper liners. Cream 5 tablespoons of the butter with the white sugar. Add the molasses and the egg and egg yolk.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Place paper baking cup in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups. In medium bowl, stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup pouch, water, oil, and eggs until well blended.

In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice.
