First I would like to tell you that you are all life savers. We have to feed a family of four on an $80.00 a week budget. These recipes will help tremendously. I have a couple of cheap and healthy meals that I have made over open fire when homeless.
Frugal Meals for College Students
As a university student, I often founds times tight despite not being one to party like everyone else. I could just never understand why everyone always had money and I was often broke and pinching pennies for groceries.
Brown 8 oz of ground beef and 1 chopped onion in a large skillet. Drain. Add 2 1/2 cups water bring to boil. Crumble in noodles from 2 3-oz bags of ramen noodles and add seasoning packets and 2 cups of thawed frozen broccoli florets. Simmer covered 3 minutes: uncovered and simmer 3 minutes until liquid evaporated and noodles are tender.
Recipes for Hobo Dinner
With times so tight, I am glad that my family enjoys budget friendly meals. Here are some of my fave recipes that have my families stamp of approval (and they are easy and cheap!). Recipes include: Sausage Goulash, Impossible Vegetable Pie, Company Pasta and The Best "Beefaroni" Ever.
Cook two boxes macaroni and cheese. Open 2 cans Chile without beans. Mix together. Add as many cut up hot dogs as desired (Sausage may also be used).
I am looking for a recipe. Hamburger meat, green onions, ramen noodles and Worcestershire Sauce. Can anyone help me?

Frugal Meal Recipe For New Parents
Does anyone have a really yummy FRUGAL recipe (other than the usual lasagna or spaghetti) for a family that had a baby recently? I really want to make a meal for them, but usually make a recipe that has a lot of expensive ingredients. Thanks!
Surprise Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Heat skillet, dice tomato and mix with macaroni and cheese. Place in frying pan and cook until brown on both sides.
Chop up one onion; mix with one pound ground beef. Cook until done and drain off grease. Mix brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. mustard into a bowl. Then add one can of pork and beans into the same bowl. Add to ground beef and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Total cost under $5.00. Cook your rice. Cut your onion an pepper into slivers, put in pan with butter or oil, what ever you want. Cut your sausage in half and place on top of your onion and pepper.
Dice the spam small and put into a saucepan. Pour the Sloppy Joe mix and spices over the spam, cook until good and hot, about 15 minutes.
Grind up 1 can of Spam or Treet. Then mix it with the following:
I just made this this morning seeing I had a couple things in the ice box that needed used so they wouldn't get wasted. I decided after I tasted it that it deserved to be shared! A nice way to use leftover chicken and cheese.

One Pot Beef And Veggies - $10 Dinner
I don't really know how much this costs, because we grow everything in it except for the mushroom soup. I bought a bunch of that for fifty cents a can, so I'm stocked up for the year. This is a one-pot meal that you can throw in the oven and then go read a magazine or something.

This recipe was created entirely with ingredients I had on hand, mostly leftovers. I had a house full of sick boys who needed chicken soup. Rather than opening up a couple of cans, I decided to throw this together.
Make Ground Beef into hamburger patties and cook. Mix Mushroom Gravy mix, soup and water in bowl with wire whisk. Pour over cooked Hamburger patties and simmer until heated through and slightly thickened into gravy.
