Making Ice Cream with Jello Powder
I've been cleaning out my kitchen cupboards and found a pack of strawberry flavored jello powder. It is nearly out of date and weighs about about 3oz. You mix it with boiling water and it sets to jello.
Mix gelatin and liquid. Set until rather thick, then whip in mixer. Add cream, cottage cheese, and pineapple. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate.
Combine gelatin with hot water. Add raspberries and applesauce. Chill. Serves 6.

Lemon-Pineapple Congealed Dessert
This is a delicious Jello dessert with a couple of surprises in it. It is sometimes called a salad, but as you'll see, it's really an interesting dessert with an awesome flavor.
Tear angel food cake in cubes or small pieces and put in 9x13 inch cake pan. Dissolve gelatin in hot water and add cold juice/ water. Let stand until starts to set. Mix in berries and Cool Whip. Pour over cake and fold in.

Does anyone have a recipe for "Finger Jello"? Back in the late 70's, early 80's I use to use Jello powder and Knox Gelatin and water but do not remember the amounts of each. You can cut it into shapes and it is easy to handle and take for snacks to school, etc.
Dissolve each flavor gelatin in 1 1 /2 cups water. Let set and cut in small squares. Dissolve Knox gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup hot pineapple juice; stir and let cool. Fold in Cool Whip, gelatin and vanilla.
