Recipes for Chicken Fried Steak
Wanna spice up those burgers while not wanting buns? I had a pack of Krogers brand au jus. I fried the burgers until almost done. In a separate pan, I sauteed onions and mushrooms, then drained the burgers, and added the sauteed shrooms and onions.
Brown beef, put in casserole. Chop onion and celery and sprinkle over meat. Add peas. Combine milk and soup and pour over the ingredients in the casserole. Top with buttered crumbs. Bake 35 minutes at 375 degrees F.
Cover both sides of brisket with liquid smoke, garlic and onion salt, celery seed and Worcestershire sauce. Place in baking pan and marinate in refrigerator overnight. Add salt and pepper, cover with foil and bake 5 hours in 300 degree F oven.
This proved a popular, filling meal with the family and I also froze it in tubs (1 portion size) for the boys when they were at university.
I am wondering if anyone has the recipe for "onion burgers". It is a classic recipe that was printed on cans of Cambell's soup years ago. The recipe is the consistency of a sloppy joe, and calls for hamburger and 1 can of cream of onion soup.
Trim excess fat from tenderloin and place in large shallow baking pan. Bake in 400 degree F oven for 10 minutes. In skillet or saucepan saute the onion in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour the mixture over the tenderloin.
Put ketchup, water, chili powder in saucepan over direct heat and boil 7 minutes. Add hamburger, onion, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir until hamburger is broke up. Cook about 30 minutes.
Mix meat, flakes, milk and eggs and seasonings. Form patties. Flour patties and brown. Pour soup, water and milk mixture over them and simmer for 1 hour or less. Put them in the oven. Bake until brown. About 1 hour.
Tasty Rotisserie Beef Tenderloin
Place beef tenderloin in a shallow baking dish. Pour the Zesty Italian dressing over the beef. Spread the mustard, 3 cloves of garlic, onion, salt and pepper on top of the beef. Cover the meat and let marinade for 2-4 hours. Place the tenderloin on the rotisserie and cook it for about 1 1/2 hours.
Child Will Not Eat Hamburger Meat
I have a five year old that will not eat hamburger meat whatsoever! Does anyone have any ideas for some recipes on a strict budget?
I'd like to find an inexpensive beef jerky recipe that's not spicy. One that can be made in the oven.
Brush top and bottom of brisket with liquid smoke; sprinkle both sides with onion salt, garlic salt, and celery salt. Place in covered dish and refrigerate at least 12 hours. When ready to bake, shake Worcestershire sauce over top of meat.
Mix ingredients through onion together in skillet:Cook until hamburger and onion are done. Let cool while you prepare biscuit dough.
Recipe For Barbecued, Slow Roasted Beef
Years ago on a trip to the USA, I had the most brilliant meal of slow-roasted beef in Kansas. I don't know the cut of beef, but it was a very large, boneless piece. Not the fillet, but perhaps a whole piece of steak (enough for about 10 people). It had been marinated, then slow-roasted on a very low heat for 10-20 hours (I can't remember the exact length of time, but definitely overnight. It was then finished off the next day on a barbecue, and was the most delicious, tender, juicy meat I have ever tasted. Does anyone know of this recipe.

Sprinkle steak with 2 teaspoons Accent. Brown in oil in skillet. Add next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add vegetables and remaining 1 teaspoon Accent. Cook for 5 minutes.
When beef roasts are on sale, I buy one large enough, usually 6 lbs., and cut it in half. One half I cook as a special Sunday Pot Roast dinner, the other half (3 lbs.), I cut into bite size (stew beef size) pieces and make this delicious Cajun Beef and Vegetables.
Cut steak into 1/8x2 inch strips. Brown steak in shortening in skillet. Add onions and 1/2 cup water. Simmer covered, for 30 minutes. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Add enough water to juice to measure 2/3 cup liquid.
Wrap in foil and let set in refrigerator overnight. Next morning add more salt. Bake in foil, fat side up, in tightly covered pan 5 hours at 275 degrees F.
