Extra Quick Chocolate Coconut Pie
It is the easiest and fastest pie I have ever made. This started as a recipe using Hershey's bars. Using Mounds was my own idea, because I like coconut.
Heat chocolate and 2 Tablespoons of the milk in saucepan over low heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Beat sugar into cream cheese; add remaining milk and chocolate mixture and beat until smooth.
If you love chocolate! Melt the Hershey bar over low heat or in the microwave. Immediately blend in the Cool Whip until smooth. Spoon into the crust and chill at least an hour before serving.
This is a pie that I created when I worked at a country Cafe and Bar in Iowa. I really like it because it is fast and easy to make. Big hit with the locals and the farmers!
This is one of those desserts that I didn't see as often as I'd have liked when I was growing up. My father liked cream pies, but much preferred the heavier fruit pies, and it wasn't until I was grown that I found out why.
This is an easy delicious pie that will remind you of brownies. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Using Mixer at medium speed, blend all ingredients. Place pie shells on a cookie sheet and prick the sides and bottom with a fork.
Mix ingredients together and cook in heavy pan on low heat until thickens. Pour into baked crust and top with meringue or whipped cream.
Easy, easy and absolutely delicious! Everyone who tastes it asks for the recipe. So I am sharing.
This is a copy cat recipe and tastes like Bishop's Cafeteria's Chocolate Pie. Super yummy!
Saltine Cracker Crust Chocolate Pie
I am looking for a recipe for a chocolate pie made with a saltine cracker crust. It may have originally been on a cocoa can. Does anyone have this recipe?
Combine crushed chocolate wafers and melted margarine. Press into bottom of spring form pan and bake at 325 degrees F for 10 minutes. Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
Mix well the flour, margarine, and pecans. Pat into 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes; cool. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip.
Break 5 chocolate bars into a pan with the milk and marshmallows. Melt over hot water. Chill, then add whipped cream. Pour into crust. Grate the one remaining chocolate bar and sprinkle on top of pie.
Crush Zwieback. Add butter and sugar. Press into 9x13 inch pan. Melt chocolate and cool. Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time.
Blend sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt. Stir in the milk. Add chocolate which has been melted over hot water. Cook milk, chocolate, and dry ingredients, which have been mixed together over hot water on low heat until thick. Beat egg yolks and pour part of the mixture over them, stirring well.
Place milk, chocolate, butter, eggs and sugar in electric blender container. Blend at medium speed for 15 seconds. Pour into 9 inch pie plate and sprinkle with coconut and pecans. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
