Hamburger Upside-Down Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup green pepper chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

In 10-11 inch oven-proof skillet, brown ground beef and cook celery, onion and green pepper until tender. Stir in salt and soup. Combine Bisquick and milk, roll into a circle slightly smaller than the skillet. Place on top of meat and vegetable mixture. Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees F degrees. Turn upside down on platter. Put cheese on top and cut in wedges.

Hamburger Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can cut green beans
  • mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup cheese

Directions:

Brown 1 lb. hamburger; add chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Cook to tender. Add tomato soup, and green beans, drained. Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with mounds of fluffy mashed potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded cheese the last 10 minutes or baking time. Serves 6.

Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cups biscuit mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease pie plate. Brown beef and onion; drain. Stir in salt and pepper. Spread in pie plate. Beat milk, baking mix, and eggs until smooth, 15 seconds on high or one minute with hand mixer. Pour into pie plate over meat mixture. Bake 25 minutes. Top with tomatoes; sprinkle with cheese. Continue to bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 5-8 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before cutting.

Q Is For Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients
  • Pat In The Pan Pastry (below)
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1/2 -3/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 2 cup shredded cheese(80z)

Directions

Heat oven to 425 degrees F.

Prepare pastry (below)

Pat in bottom and up sides of round pan 8x1 1/2 inches. Bake 15 minutes. Cook beef, onion, and garlic in pan until brown, drain. Sprinkle with salt and flour.

Stir in pickle juice, milk, pickles and 1 cup cheese. Spoon into dish.

Bake 15 minutes, sprinkle with 1 cup cheese bake until crust is golden brown, about 15 more minutes

Pat-In-Pan Pastry

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening

Directions

Mix these together then cut in 1/2 cup shortening with pastry blender or fork until the size of tiny peas. Sprinkle with 3-4 Tbsp. water, 1 Tbsp. at a time. Stirring with fork after each addition. Mix lightly until all flour is moistened and pastry almost cleans from side of bowl (add 1-2 tsp. water if necessary.)

Cheeseburger Upside Down Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 lb. sliced American cheese
  • 1 can refrigerator biscuits

Directions

Brown hamburger and onion in shortening in a 9 inch skillet. Drain off fat. Add ketchup and salt. Top with cheese. Shape biscuits between fingers into strips and place on top of cheese. Bake at 425 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.

Cheddar Beef Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup corn flake crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1/2 cup celery slices
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1-1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 cup corn flake crumbs

Directions

Combine meat, egg, onion, 3/4 cup of corn flake crumbs, barbecue sauce and seasonings; mix lightly. Press meat mixture onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Remove meat shell from oven; drain. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F. Saute celery slices in 1 tablespoon of margarine. Combine celery, cheese and mushrooms. Toss lightly; spoon into hot meat shell. Melt remaining margarine and combine with 1/4 cup of crumbs; sprinkle over cheese mixture. Return to oven; continue baking 10 minutes.

Impossible Cheeseburger Pie

This recipe you will find on the back of a Bisquick box! Very easy and very good!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick mix
  • 3 eggs

Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease pie plate. Cook and stir ground beef and onion until beef is brown; drain, stir in salt and pepper. Spread in pie plate; sprinkle with cheese. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, about 15 seconds, in blender at high speed or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into pie plate. Bake until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Refrigerate any remaining pie. 6-8 servings.

Impossible Hamburger and Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup Bisquick
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease large pie plate, 9 inch. Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Stir in salt and pepper. Spread in pie plate. Beat eggs, add milk and Bisquick until smooth. Pour over meat mixture. Bake 25 minutes. Top with slices tomatoes and cheese. Bake 5-8 minutes more.

Hamburger Pie

This is a great tasting, hearty, kid-friendly recipe that the whole family will enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 lb. hamburger, browned
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked green beans
  • 1 cup pizza or spaghetti sauce
  • 3 cups cooked instant or fresh mashed potatoes

Directions:

Brown and drain hamburger and onion. Spread on 9x13 inch pan. Drain beans and sprinkle over hamburger. Spread spaghetti sauce, etc., over this, and cover with potatoes. Do not mix layers. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees F. Good with grated cheese sprinkled over the top during last few minutes of baking.

Servings: 8
Prep Time: 15-20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 60 Minutes

Meat and Potato Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground meat
  • 2 slices, bread, shredded
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2-3 cups mashed potatoes

Directions

Combine meat, bread, milk, egg, onion, sauce and salt into meat loaf. Pat into a deep 9 or 10 inch pie pan. Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees F. Drain off excess fat. Top with prepared potatoes. Sprinkle top generously with Parmesan cheese and return to the oven for 3-5 minutes.

Hamburger Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 envelope (1 ounce) onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces)tomato soup (with water)
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
  • 1 can (7 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can (16 ounces) sliced carrots, drained
  • 1 pkg. (10 ounces) frozen peas, thawed
  • 5 cups warm seasoned mashed potatoes
  • Paprika, for sprinkling

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is brown and onion is tender, stirring occasionally; drain if necessary. Add soup mix, gravy, garlic powder, and black pepper; mix well. Add corn, carrots, and peas; mix well. Place in the casserole dish.

Spoon mashed potatoes around the edge of the casserole on top of the meat mixture. Run the tines of a fork around the mashed potatoes in a decorative fashion and sprinkle with paprika. Bake 25 minutes, or until heated through

Microwave: Just prepare like the recipe says then cook in covered casserole in microwave on high until bubbly, mine takes about 20 minutes but it's a really old oven

Makes 6 to 8 servings

Hamburger Pie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup onion
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese

Directions

Brown hamburger and onion. Drain off fat. Combine next 6 ingredients and place in ungreased casserole. Beat egg into potatoes and spoon this in mounds over the top of the casserole. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the potatoes. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. A good way to use left over potatoes.
