Italian Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3/4 tsp. basil
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 3/4 tsp. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/5 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

In blender place olive oil, minced onion, Parmesan, salt and spices. Blend 30 seconds and add vinegar and lemon juice. Blend another 30 seconds.

Italian Salad Dressing

I like this better than any bottled Italian dressing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • generous pinch of sweet basil

Directions:

Put in jar and shake well. Makes about one pint.

Creamy Italian Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup nonfat mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

Mix well all ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
