Simple Black Bean Soup

Very nourishing! In a small bowl, mash 1 can black beans until smooth; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients and remaining can of beans. Bring to a boil.

Delicious Bean Soup

Soak beans and simmer. Mash half tender beans. Simmer ham for 1 hour in water just to cover. Remove meat from bone (should have 1-2 cups). Cover carrots and celery with 2 cups boiling water; add onion. Cook until crisp tender.

Bean and Hominy Soup

Combine all ingredients except cheese in a large pot and bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard bay leaves, top with cheese and serve.

Black Bean and Steak Soup

Brown steak in skillet sprayed with nonstick spray if not using leftovers. Remove steak from pan. Respray pan with with non stick and add onions, garlic, all bell peppers and chili and "dry" saute until onion is translucent (about 5 minutes).

Capital Bean Soup

Clean beans. Cover with water and 1 tsp. salt. (Water should be about two inches over the top of the beans.) Soak overnight. (You may have to add a bit more water in the morning if it is all soaked up by the beans.)

Mary's Quick Bean Soup

Take 1 diced onion, 1 cup celery, 4 carrots and 1 clove garlic. Saute till transparent (You can use any veggies you have in refrigerator). Add 1 package sliced kielbasa. Add about 15 oz. cans of: diced tomatoes, white beans, rinsed, kidney beans, rinsed, garbanzo/fava beans, rinsed.

Bean Beef Soup

Combine beans with cold water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 1 hour. Add onions, garlic, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Bring to a boil; simmer 1 hour or until beans are just tender.

In a large saucepan, heat oil until hot. Add celery, onion and carrots; cook stirring occasionally, until celery is crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. In the container of blender, place 1 can white kidney beans; puree until smooth.

Tomato Bean Sausage Soup

This is wonderful for cold weather. The entire meal is under $7 and will feed up to 8 people. Fry meat and drain grease. Combine all ingredients in stew pot. Add chili powder, black pepper, garlic and cayenne pepper (optional), simmer 45 minutes.

Black Bean Salsa Soup

Heat oil in large skillet and add onion, garlic and cumin. Cook until onions are tender (about 5 minutes). Take 2 cans of black beans and place in blender with chicken broth and blend.
