Holiday: Thanksgiving Centerpiece
This is my table for Thanksgiving. I love my little pilgrims. Just when I thought I couldn't find anything cuter, I found the pilgrim squirrel salt and pepper shakers.
Decorate Your Christmas Tree For Every Season
My husband and I stopped by an unusual shop last week. This sweet lady had a Christmas tree upside down in one corner of her store and had decorations on it. This theme was Spring with birds, butterflies and different sprays of flowers.
Craft: Bittersweet Pumpkin Display
Create a beautiful, natural autumn centerpiece using a pumpkin, dried wheat, leaves, and bittersweet. For rectangular tables you can place a smaller pumpkin on each side and arrange the wheat/grasses, leaves, and bittersweet around them as well.
Thanksgiving: Thankful Centerpiece
I wanted my guests to be thankful for something this year. I wrote down several things to be thankful for and cut them out and attached them to my candle centerpiece. I also wrote bible verses down associated with thanks and placed them around the table.
Craft: Decorative Thanksgiving Signs
Cute signs made from wood and paints.
Fall Decorated Pumpkins With Mod Podge
My daughter and I have recently discovered Mod podge semi-gloss (thanks to Martha S.). We used it on all assorted size pumpkins, and used glitter or crepe paper. Tonight we're going to use fall leaves from our yard.
These Pumpkin bowls make beautiful serving dishes for any Autumn event. Look for a picture of a pumpkin leaf and use that for inspiration for the leaf you will cut out of your pumpkin.
Reuse Halloween Pumpkins In Fall Displays
After Halloween last year, I took down my scarecrow, but his pumpkin head was still fresh. I added his head to a bale of hay in the front yard for a fall decoration. My granddaughter asked, "How did the scarecrow get inside of the hay?"
Craft Project: Scarecrow On A Bench
Cut the landscape timber as follows: 3 - 7 inches long, 1 - 17 inches long, and 2 - 14 inches long. Glue the 2 - 14 inch on each side of the 17 inch piece.
Last fall I took a large pumpkin and cleaned it out, filled it with potting soil and put a Mum plant in it. I used it as a decoration on my front porch. At the end of the season, I took the Mum/pumpkin and planted it in the ground.
I would like information on harvesting Indian corn.
Growing and Harvesting Indian Corn
Many gardeners are surprised to learn that there's no special secret to growing Indian corn. If you can successfully grow sweet corn in your garden, then you can grow Indian corn, too.
Preserving Your Christmas Tree
I preserved autumn leaves for a Thanksgiving centerpiece by spraying them several times with heavy duty hairspray.
Craft Project: Handprint Turkey Art
Use paint to make this handprint turkey instead of tracing. Add a few details to the turkey and some fall leaves and you have a beautiful work of art to display at Thanksgiving time.
Craft Project: Turkey Coloring Holder
This colorful turkey will make a great addition to your kids table at the Thanksgiving meal. What a fun way to add a coloring activity to the day.
Craft Project: Apple Turkey Table Favor
This is something special for the Thanksgiving table. Make one for each place setting. The kids can help with this project.
