I am a 54 yr old farrier (horseshoer) in Tidewater, VA. I grew up on a small farm in SW Minnesota, where I learned how to can, freeze, & preserve foods from an early age. One of my passions is growing a garden, and I preserve much of it not to be so much cost-effective as to have some good-tasting home-grown food, and to keep up with my heritage & traditions I was raised with. I love to fish and I love dogs. I have been a fulltime farrier my entire adult life, and were it not necessary to live within range of clientele/horses, I would find a place so far back in the woods as I could.
