We need good thrifty ways to let people know "The Coupon Clipper" newsletters exists without spamming. We are very committed and go to great lengths to protect our subscriber's privacy.

We were thinking about a subscriber drive but haven't figured out how to work it. Do you have any good thrifty marketing ideas?

Check out the Food and Recipe type lists on different servers. Contact the lists "Mom or Dad" and ask them to post a sample newsletter to their membership.

I joined several Daily Recipe "lists" because of postings to the list I belong to, CFF.

I sent in your site a while ago, as a "surf safe site" (sites with no viruses) to CFF, and mentioned receiving your newsletters. I hope you received memberships from that.

I am also saving the cooking oriented Daily Thrifty tips to post in at the end of each month, with their source of course.

Editor's Note: Thanks for all the great suggestions and for referring us to your friends and lists!

I belong to several discussion groups, and receive a daily digest of what people have posted. Most are about cooking and recipes, some are on frugal living. All deal with thriftiness in one way or another. At the bottom of postings, I have noticed that people often mention their websites or interests with a single line, like: "Visit http://www.thriftyfun.com for frugal ideas..." Perhaps those of us who are on these kinds of discussion groups could give your site a recommendation when we make a posting.

I have noticed that Internet users are constantly reading magazines, newspaper articles, etc. that reference web addresses. Perhaps one small add in a well known woman's magazine (since women seem to be the ones most likely to read and to submit tips), would increase your subscriptions. You might contact a magazine to see if they would be interested in doing a featured article on advantages of checking out web sites such as yours.

To help advertise "The Coupon Clipper", how about if each one of us readers gets one friend to subscribe, too?

I searched the Topica Ezine list and found "The Coupon Clipper" listed there, but it is found only under "thrifty" (1 in a list of 1), and NOT under "frugal" (there were 15 Ezines listed there). Could you have Topica list it under BOTH categories?

Also, any chance you could transfer your list to Egroups? They seem to get a lot more traffic, and have a special offer going on now for transferring large lists.
