A piece of scrap carpet (the stiff, jute-backed kind) placed
under your kitty's litter box (it should be larger than the
box by about 6-8 inches on the sides) helps catch the litter
that kitty tends to kick out of the box. Makes for easier
cleanups -- just shake out the piece of carpet into the
garbage.
