I have a bunch of nails from a construction project. Most are bent and probably not usuable for building. What would you do with them? I have a bucket full. Thanks, Joe.

stick some Tremclad or rust paint on them and turn when you need into handly dandly all purpose hooks around the house and garage.

Put them in a paint can or coffee can, pour in some concrete, stir well so they are not all poking out, attach a hook and you have a boat anchor.

Metal sculpture?

If they are not galvanized, you can push them (point down) into the soil around your hydrangeas, azaleas and rhodos. The rust will nourish them.

That's a good idea. Does anyone have any ideas of how or where you can recycle nails?

My Grandfather was a carpenter and often had bent nails. Since there were 5 of us kids, he many times handed us a hammer and a bucket of nails to straighten out. Just hammer and keep turning on a flat surface until the nail is straightened enough to use.
You may have to hammer a little gentler at first as they are more prone to bend again once bent.
