My husband wanted to purchase a rubber-backed mat to put under the chair at our computer desk. I feel that a rubber surface on a hardwood floor is not a good idea. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks! Linda Sevanick

I have a question -- Has anyone found an easy way to remove the stuck on rubber padding left on hardwood floors after removing carpet

I have hardwood floors in my home and I put a rubber backed rug in front of the stove. When I picked it up, the floor was like glass!! If anyone walks on it in stocking feet they will slip bad on it. I will never use rubber back again. You should use an open weave nonskid pad under a rug on the hardwood.

Hope this helps someone stay safe.
I use the open weave in the entry way and have no trouble.- Notjwen
